World Class Halibut Fishing
Get ready for a day of great deep sea halibut fishing in Kachemak Bay and Lower Cook Inlet. Be prepared to take home your limit of delicious tasting Pacific halibut. All captains are U.S.C.G. licensed and take pride in their comfortable, safe vessels. They are professional and will work hard to make sure you have a great time! As you can see from these pictures there was great fishing aboard our boats. With the experience of our Captains and a little luck, your picture may be here next.
What's included:
- All tackle, bait, and fish filleting is included in the price of the charter.
One on one instruction and personal attention from your captain.
- Bring warm clothes, rain gear, rubber-soled shoes, a lunch and beverage.
- Two halibut per person per day catch limit.
- An Alaskan sport fishing license is required and may be obtained at Central Charters.
- One, three and fourteen day licenses available.
- Small coolers and day packs welcome.
- Bring your cell phone. They work in Alaska.
- Vacuum packing, freezing and overnight shipping available.
- Bring your camera for plenty of picture taking opportunities!
Halibut fishing is great from May until late September. Limit 2 per day
Grand Aleutian Charter Boat
The F/V Grand Aleutian, a 32’ Albin Sportfisher, which is widely recognized for solid construction and a stable ride conducive to good fishing. Powered by a 315 HP turbocharged Cummins diesel, she is a very reliable craft, features a faultless safety record as well as safety equipment exceeding Coast Guard standards. Your captain David Bayes is Coast Guard licensed, was born and raised in Homer, and is extremely passionate about fishing
Foxfire Charter Boat
The M/V Foxfire is a 50 ft Delta with twin 475 hp Lugger marine engines. With a 19 knot cruise, it is fast for a boat of it's size. It is U.S.C.G. approved for 35 passengers but we limit the boat to 16 for fishing. Everyone has a seat inside and a pole outside.

A deposit of $100 is taken at the time of the reservation. The balance will be charged two weeks prior to the departure date. Each seat booked is subject to a $2.00 booking fee and 7.5% sales tax.
There is a two week cancellation policy for fishing.
Check-in with Central Charters at least one-half hour prior to departure. Feel free to check in the day before. You will need a State of Alaska fishing license. We do have them for sale at our office. Dress warm and wear rubber soled shoes. Bring whatever you want to eat or drink. All fishing gear and bait is provided.
